Inpatient rehabilitation is an intensive program for those who are recovering from debilitating injuries, illnesses, surgeries and chronic medical conditions. By focusing on individualized care and providing access to a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals, inpatient rehabilitation programs strive to empower patients to reclaim their lives and reintegrate into their communities with confidence.

The length of your stay depends on your specific needs and progress. Typically, stays range from 10-14 days, with therapies tailored to your functional goals. Your care team will regularly assess your progress to determine when you're ready for discharge.

  • Amputee
  • Brain injury

  • Cardiac and pulmonary conditions
  • General debility
  • LVAD implants and organ transplants

We recommend bringing:

Yes, family and friends are welcome during visiting hours. Having loved ones visit can help with your emotional recovery. Please check with our staff for specific visiting hours and guidelines to ensure a smooth experience. Additionally, family and/or caregiver training is part of recovery process.

You will receive therapy tailored to your needs by physician direction, which may include:

  • Physical therapy: Exercises to improve mobility, strength, balance and coordination.
  • Occupational therapy: Training for daily activities such as dressing, eating and bathing.
  • Speech therapy: Assistance with speech, language and swallowing difficulties. Support for memory, problem-solving and cognitive function.
  • Functional therapy: Music and recreational therapy may be offered in conjunction with other disciplines or as individual sessions as part of treatment plan.
  • Psychosocial support: Counseling and emotional support for coping with recovery.

Your treatment plan is developed by a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals, including doctors, nurses, physical, occupational and speech therapists, social workers, case managers and counselors. They will assess your condition, discuss your goals and create a personalized plan that aligns with your needs.

Your care team will regularly assess your progress in formal meetings and adjust your treatment plan as needed. This may include physical assessments, progress reports from your therapists and regular check-ins with physicians to help with meeting recovery goals.

Yes, all rooms are private.

Before your discharge, your care team will help you plan for a transition to home. This includes arranging home care/outpatient services as needed, providing instructions for continued therapy, coordinating follow-up appointments, and helping with assistive devices or equipment required for daily living.

We accept a variety of insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid and many private insurance carriers. It’s important to verify your insurance coverage and discuss prior authorization with your insurance provider before admission. Our admissions team can assist you with this process.

Everyone in inpatient rehabilitation is required to participate in three hours of therapy, five out of seven days each week. Therapy can start as early as 7 a.m. and could consist of a combination of physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.

Other therapies like recreational therapy, music therapy and counseling services will be provided based on individual need. Nursing will administer medications and care for general medical needs. Physicians and physician assistants will make regular visits and oversee medical care. Meals will be delivered based on dietary needs and other consult services are provided as indicated.
