Criteria for Inpatient Rehabilitation

Inpatient rehabilitation plays a crucial role in the recovery process, offering intensive therapy and medical care to patients. To qualify, patients must demonstrate a need for a coordinated, interdisciplinary approach involving multiple therapy sessions each day.

Some of the criteria includes, but is not limited to:

  • Patient is medically stable with continued need for frequent physician management.
  • Patient needs 24-hour rehabilitation nursing care.
  • Patient requires two or more therapy disciplines.
  • Patient has the ability to tolerate three hours of therapy daily, at least five to seven days a week.
  • Patient can participate and make functional gains.
  • Patient has appropriate support upon discharge.
