The INTEGRIS Health Breast Surgery High Risk and Genetic Clinic provides education, hereditary cancer risk assessments, genetic counseling and testing.
It’s important to have access to individualized cancer screening and prevention programs for those concerned about their personal and family history of cancer. Providing that service to our patients was critical in ensuring we have a system in place that covers the entire continuum of care.
Patients with the following risk factors may be referred to the clinic:
- Personal/family history risk factors
- Increased lifetime risk of breast cancer
- Perimenopausal breast cancer
- Triple negative breast cancer
- Ovarian cancer
- Pancreatic cancer
- Prostate cancer
- Colorectal cancer
- Melanoma
- Male breast cancer
- Ashkenazi Jewish descent
- Personal or family history of ovarian or pancreatic cancer
- Dense breast
- Recurrent breast cancer
- Three or more family members with breast cancer
- High-risk gene mutation including BRCA 1 & 2
Any patient interested in high-risk screening is welcome for an assessment and consideration of genetic testing.
