Comprehensive Alcohol Addiction Treatment in Oklahoma

What is Alcohol Use Disorder? (AUD)

Alcohol addiction, also called alcohol abuse, alcohol dependence or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is a complex, chronic disease that affects the brain. It impacts not just the person who drinks, but also the people who love them.

It can put a strain on home life, finances and children. And it can be incredibly hard to stop. Thousands of Oklahoma families feel the impact of alcoholism every day, from small rural towns to our metro area.

What’s important to remember is that alcohol use disorder is a medical condition, not a moral failing. And getting the right help matters.

How We Treat AUD

Our programs are designed to:

  • address the patterns and behaviors that keep alcohol in your life
  • help you quit drinking safely
  • build the tools to stay sober
  • manage withdrawal symptoms

At INTEGRIS Health Arcadia Trails Center for Addiction Recovery, we treat the whole person, not just the obvious symptoms. It is individualized, evidence-based and updated as you progress through the program.

If you’re ready to talk, fill out our inquiry form or call 405-216-2500 today.

Alcohol Addiction Levels of Treatment

Every person’s recovery is different. We begin with a comprehensive assessment to recommend the level of care that fits your needs and goals. Here is how treatment for alcohol use disorder typically progresses:

  • Residential Treatment
(24/7 clinical support) Medically supervised withdrawal management with 24/7 monitoring and physician-guided protocols. More critical or acute cases may have care routed through the adjacent INTEGRIS Health Edmond Hospital. Residents stay full time at the facility and start their individual and group therapy, education and daily routines.
  • High Intensive Outpatient (HIOP)
(formally PHP, 20 clinical support hours a week) Practice recovery while living at home. Our patients can continue therapy, address risks and triggers and involve family support as needed.
  • Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
(9 clinical support hours a week) A slow return to work or school while continuing to strengthen skills for handling alcohol cravings, stress, sleep and personal relationships. Expand your sober support network.
  • Low Intensity Outpatient
(1-3 clinical support hours a week) Maintain progress with focused check-ins, therapy, relapse-prevention planning and alumni resources/networks.
