Addiction will be holistically addressed, along with its co-occurring and compounding issues – mental illness and trauma – while incorporating evidence-based practices.

Our programs offer an unprecedented level of hope for men and women 18 and over. And it’s a hope that truly is authentic because that hope is backed by a comprehensive and thorough drug and addiction program grounded on research and evidence. 

It begins with thorough, in-depth clinical evaluations and assessments that inform the development of an individualized, integrated, intentional treatment plan. One that truly is customized to reflect the needs, abilities, skills and goals of each individual patient.

The Arcadia Trails program also includes medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when appropriate, overseen by our full-time addiction psychiatrist and medical director. Addressing spirituality, family involvement, and continuity of care are integrated into our programs.

Treatment is available at Arcadia Trails for adult women and men over the age of 18 who struggle with the use of alcohol or other substances. After the assessment, the person would need to meet diagnostic criteria for a Substance Use Disorder as the primary presenting diagnosis and have physical stability as to being able to participate in all aspects of treatment and perform activities of daily living.

There are many factors involved in determining the cost of treatment, as everyone’s situation is different. Many people pay for their treatment through their health insurance, and the coverage and benefits can vary from one plan to another. Our admissions team will verify benefits and help determine the costs covered by insurance and the costs that would be the patient’s responsibility. We would also need to determine the appropriate level of care based on your specific needs, another factor that influences the cost of treatment.

Treatment services at Arcadia Trails are not defined by a specific number of days. Instead, we focus on the patient’s individualized needs, which would determine the level of care we would recommend. As progress is made in their treatment journey, the patient advances to different levels of care based on their specific situation and treatment goals.

All programs at Arcadia Trails are certified by the state agency that oversees alcohol and drug treatment programs, the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. At the same time, our residential program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). This is an indication of our commitment to safety and quality services that can improve the lives of those we serve.

All therapists at Arcadia Trails are master-level licensed behavioral health professionals. When admitted, the patient will be assigned a primary therapist to collaborate on their treatment. The therapists are part of a multi-disciplinary team that also includes a physician, registered nurses, certified case managers, certified peer recovery coaches and others that collaborate in delivering a holistic solution.

In alignment with all state regulations, and as a provider of healthcare services, Arcadia Trails is a tobacco-free campus. This means that smoking, vaping, or chewing tobacco is not permitted at Arcadia Trails. Since we are also located in the campus of a hospital, use of tobacco products is not allowed anywhere in the property. Our medical professionals can provide a variety of nicotine replacement products that include patches, lozenges, and gum. Additional services include cessation classes, counseling and support, and prescription medication.

At Arcadia Trails, we offer detoxification services (withdrawal management), residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services. We are also part of the INTEGRIS Health system and are located in the INTEGRIS Health Edmond Hospital campus. This provides for the ability of our patients to receive treatment at the hospital if clinically warranted.

Our evidence-based solutions take into account the integration between addiction, mental health, and trauma. We conduct assessments in all of these areas. Our clinicians utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and 12-step facilitation modalities, through specific therapeutic solutions: Living in Balance, 12-Step Facilitation, Matrix Model, Relapse Prevention, Seeking Safety, and others.

Family involvement is also central to what we do at Arcadia Trails. After a patient consents to allow the family involvement in their treatment, we invite these family members to participate in family education and family sessions with the patient. Communication with the family is conducted as allowed by patient consent.
