Packing List

  • Identification (ID)
  • Insurance card
  • Debit/credit card for pharmacy medication co-pays
  • One week's supply of comfortable, casual clothing, including fitness attire
  • Clothes hangers (plastic only)
  • Comfortable shoes, athletic shoes, house slippers, slip-resistant shower shoes (no high heels)
  • Sleepwear, bathrobe and undergarments
  • Light sweater or sweatshirt for temperature changes indoors
  • One jacket for cold weather
  • Reusable cup (recommended)

Alcohol-free personal hygiene items* only in new, sealed and unopened containers:

  • Shampoo, conditioner
  • Facial/body wash
  • Deodorant/antiperspirant
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, alcohol free mouthwash
  • Cosmetics, moisturizers/body lotion
  • Hair styling products (alcohol free and non-aerosol hairspray)
  • Laundry detergent (pods or liquid, must be in original packaging, no scent beads or bleach)
*Opened or excessive amounts of personal hygiene products and clothing, as determined by staff, will be denied entry into the facility. Exceptions for opened products will be made for direct transfers from another facility.

Additional items

  • Basic alarm clock (recommended)
  • Recovery or spirituality-related books (NA, AA, CA, SA books)
  • Brand new (in original packaging) full-size mattress topper or sealed pillow (if desired/optional)
  • Prescribed medications in a container with matching pharmacy labels*
  • Up to four vape devices**
*Excluding narcotics, controlled substances, medical marijuana, non-approved OTCs, (EX: CBD, melatonin, cold and cough medications). New and unopened OTC medications may be permitted depending on the medication. Any OTC medications brought in are required to be approved by the medical team on a case-by-case basis. If an OTC medication is not approved, the medication will be stored with the patient's belongings and returned after treatment completion.
**Vape devices must be commercially available and cannot be refillable or rechargeable. The vape cannot exceed 5% nicotine concentration if salt-based, and no more than 3mg per ml if a standard "e-liquid" with nicotine suspension. Vapes must be disposable. Products must be verifiably new and sealed in package. Products which appeared tampered with will not be returned.

Items To Leave at Home

These items are considered contraband.

  • Personal electronic devices (cellphone, tablet, laptop, etc.)
  • Tobacco products including smokeless tobacco)
  • Illegal drugs, DEA Scheduled I-IV controlled substances including medical marijuana, narcotic analgesics (Codeine, Vicodin, Oxycodone, etc.), benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, etc.), sedating muscle relaxers (Soma), hypnotics (Lunesta, Ambien, etc.), cough elixir with codeine, stimulants, etc. Non-approved prescription medications and supplements including cannabis, CBD, Kratom, creatine, etc.
  • Weapons of any kind
  • Lighters/matches
  • Substances containing alcohol (perfumes, colognes, sanitizers, etc.)
  • Non-personal electronic devices (large stereos, speakers, radios, etc.)
  • Expensive jewelry and luxury belongings
  • Large amounts of cash
  • Metal containers
  • Stuffed animals or toys
  • Food items of any kind sealed or unsealed
  • Devices or materials designed to adulterate or falsify bodily fluid testing
  • Video/audio recorders
  • Cameras
  • Inappropriate clothing (drug, gang, sexual, alcohol, violence or negative messaging/images)
  • Excessively revealing clothing
  • Inappropriate literature
  • Items made of glass (eyewear excluded)
  • Sharp objects
  • Personal items that may conceal or make difficult to detect contraband (puzzle boxes, locked journals, compartmentalized clothing, luggage, jewelry, etc.)
