After enduring burns to 70 percent of his body in the Tuskahoma fireworks explosion widely reported on July 2, 39-year-old Brad Lewallen was discharged today from the Paul Silverstein Burn Center at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center.

After enduring burns to 70 percent of his body in the Tuskahoma fireworks explosion widely reported on July 2, 39-year-old Brad Lewallen was discharged today from the Paul Silverstein Burn Center at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center.
His recovery required multiple surgeries and skin grafting under the care of Christopher Lentz, M.D. over the past two months. Brad also spent the last two weeks in inpatient rehabilitation at INTEGRIS Health Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation.
He was escorted home by the Keys Volunteer Fire Department.
