The Trauma Center team at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center offers free STOP the Bleed kits and training to organizations in rural Oklahoma.
Through collaborations with the INTEGRIS Health Foundation and the Masonic Charity of Oklahoma, we empower individuals to act effectively in emergencies.
STOP the Bleed is a national initiative aimed at preparing people to handle severe bleeding until professional medical help arrives. The one-hour session includes both lectures and hands-on practice and can be conducted on-site.

A brain injury disrupts normal brain function due to a sudden jolt, blow or penetrating injury to the head. It can vary from mild, like a concussion, to severe, possibly leading to long-term disability or death.
Loss of consciousness is not required. Most concussions occur without a loss of consciousness.
Tai Chi is a gentle exercise that enhances balance, flexibility and strength, especially for older adults. It can cut fall risks by 55% and improve balance by over 30%. A JAMA Internal Medicine study found Tai Chi outperformed conventional therapy in reducing falls among seniors. With slow, controlled moves and focus on body awareness, it safely boosts physical function.
A Matter of Balance reduces fall fear and boosts activity in older adults. Participants reported a 97% boost in fall prevention confidence and an 81% improvement in fall management. Falls are the top cause of injuries in older adults, affecting one in four aged 65 and older each year. Programs like this cut fall risks by promoting strength, balance and safety awareness.

CarFit is focused on driver safety to help reduce car crashes by making sure that the driver is able to safely make adjustments to their vehicles.
CarFit is a community-based educational initiative launched in 2005 by AAA, AARP and the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) to boost safety among older adults. Using a standardized 12-point checklist which covers seat position, steering wheel distance, mirror alignment, seatbelt fit and head restraint, the free, roughly 30-minute session helps drivers identify critical adjustments.
