INTEGRIS Health Hospice

Compassionate Care

The INTEGRIS Health Hospice program in Oklahoma City is dedicated to caring for patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses.

End-of-life care can be provided in the patient's home, a long-term care facility, or the INTEGRIS Health Hospice House. The INTEGRIS Health Hospice service area covers portions of nine counties and an approximate 50-mile radius around the Oklahoma City metro.

The hospice staff and certified hospice and palliative care medical director will develop a plan of care that provides medical, emotional and spiritual care, volunteer services and bereavement follow-up for each patient and family. We are dedicated to keeping the patient comfortable and providing quality care so they can spend quality time with their loved ones.

“The care and compassion that I experienced and I witnessed during my wife’s time with INTEGRIS Hospice was truly a thing of beauty. The dignity that my wife was afforded was beyond compare. Thank you.”

The INTEGRIS Hospice program uses the interdisciplinary team concept and our focus is on the whole person - the mind, body and the spirit. Our goal is to make every day a celebration of life.

Our Hospice team is highly trained, compassionate individuals who provide quality care for patients of all ages. Each team consists of a registered nurse, a social worker, home health aides, chaplain and a volunteer. The RN’s are specifically trained in pain and symptom management, and they act as the case manager. The RN visits patients weekly or as often as necessary to insure maximum comfort. A nurse is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and our certified home health aides are assigned to attend to the personal care needs of the patient. Our social workers provide a variety of supportive services, which may include counseling, financial resource needs and assistance with funeral planning. Our chaplains are available to assist our patients and families with spiritual counseling as well as perform funeral services.  Hospice volunteers can sometimes provide companionship, run errands, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and shopping.

It’s important to note that the patients’ physician is an integral part of our team. The interdisciplinary team maintains regular contact with the primary care doctor. The INTEGRIS Hospice medical director meets weekly with the hospice team to discuss patient care. This information can also be shared with the patient’s doctor.
