Expanded Medical Oncology Infusion Center

To meet the growing needs of patients across the region, the Cancer Institute has expanded its medical oncology infusion center, adding eight new infusion spaces and three additional medical offices. “We are absolutely thrilled about our oncology expansion and our increased capacity to care for our patients,” says Thomas Showalter, D.O., chief medical oncologist. “This growth will allow for easier flow for patients which should translate into an improved experience while going through such challenging processes.” These enhancements are designed to improve patient access, reduce wait times and support the delivery of compassionate, timely cancer treatment in a comfortable environment.

Okahoma’s First Varian Edge with HyperSight Technology

Radiation oncology services now feature Oklahoma’s first Varian Edge linear accelerator with HyperSight imaging technology, offering unmatched precision and personalization in cancer treatment.

Key features include:

• Real-time tumor tracking for enhanced accuracy.
• Improved image quality via superior contrast resolution.
• Precise tumor targeting, minimizing damage to healthy tissue.
• Tattoo-free setup, providing a more modern and patient-friendly experience.

First GE Omni Legend 32 PET/CT Scanner in Oklahoma

INTEGRIS Health Cancer Institute also became the first in Oklahoma to install the GE Omni Legend 32 PET/CT scanner. This next-generation imaging system enhances early cancer detection, treatment planning and therapy monitoring with:

• Faster scan times and high-definition imaging
• Improved diagnostic accuracy at a lower radiation dose
• A more comfortable and streamlined experience for patients

Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Relocated for Easier Access

As part of the Cancer Institute's ongoing focus on comprehensive care and patient convenience, Jim Thorpe Rehabilitation Services has been relocated to the first floor of the facility. This move improves accessibility for patients in active treatment and recovery. Services now available on-site include:

• Occupational Therapy
• Speech Therapy
• Pelvic Floor Therapy
• PORi training (Oncology Rehabilitation)

New Survivorship and Genetics Clinics

The Cancer Institute also expanded its continuum of care by launching dedicated survivorship and genetics clinics:

• The Survivorship Clinic supports patients transitioning from active treatment to recovery, offering personalized care plans, symptom management and wellness guidance.
• The Genetics Clinic provides advanced cancer risk assessment and genetic counseling to help patients and families better understand hereditary cancer risks and make informed decisions about prevention, screening and treatment.
