Dhanushya Amaratunga, M.D., is a cardiologist with INTEGRIS Health Cardiovascular Physicians Baptist Medical Center.
She completed her medical degree at the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka, followed by an internal medicine residency at St. Luke’s University Health Network, where she was recognized as Resident of the Year in 2020. Dr. Amaratunga continued at St. Luke’s to complete her cardiovascular disease fellowship.
Before her clinical training, Dr. Amaratunga served as a research assistant at the University of Houston Science and Engineering Research Center and completed an externship at the Center for Advanced Cardiology at Memorial Hermann Hospital, further strengthening her research and clinical experience. She is board-certified in internal medicine and lifestyle medicine, board-eligible for cardiology, with clinical interests spanning the full spectrum of general cardiology.
